日本超人氣藝術巨星「明和電機」於本年4月26日，香港STARHALL隆重登場!
由新媒體藝術組織Input/Output (I/O) 及Untitled Entertainment合辦VISUAL MUSIC 2011，帶來日本超人氣藝術團體「明和電機」(MAYWA DENKI)， 將於四月二十六日(週二) 晚上八時正於香港九龍灣國際展貿中心 匯星綜合表演館演出。2006年「明和電機」曾於中環大會堂舉行音樂會，門票一掃而空，其周邊商品更被搶購一空，造成本地明和熱!
Legendary Japanese group, Maywa Denki is to perform their latest, “The Voice Mechanics” at Star Hall Kowloon Bay, Hong Kong International Trade and Exhibition Centre on April 26th, 2011.
The concert is co-presented by New Media Arts unit, Input/Output and entertainment company, Untitled Entertainments. In 2006, the group’s performance in Hong Kong City Hall was a sold out together with their merchandise causing a rave in the local art scene.
「明和電機」的魅力特殊，他們堅持自己是「公司」而非「藝術團體」，所有的創作均屬「商品」設計，其演出則稱為「商品展售會」。他們的「魚器系列」(NAKI Series)在設計界和藝術圈造成衝擊熱潮，以魚類出發，糅合純真與荒謬的設計風格。「明和電機」每場演出均獨一無二，所有成員以藍色工作服出場，代表明和電機前身為機械製造商的名號。另一方面，由於所有用於演出的荒謬機械，皆是世上獨一無二的樂器，由他們設計及親手製造，從未經量產化的改良與測試，是故演出途中不免產生問題。然而此時台上身穿工作服的演出者馬上化身技術人員進行故障維修，這也成為舞台上的另一搞笑演出。
「明和電機」主力「研發製造」，例如最近嶄新樂器系列OTAMOTONE，八分音符的東西看來很可愛，一尾握在手裡的大蝌蚪，透過手指上下移動來奏樂，嘴巴還可開合顫音，聲音聽來很悲涼而搞笑。電機蝌蚪更推出不同大小，有成人版的蝌蚪樂器，及小童或音痴都愛的掛件式OTAMATONE MELODY，內置11首金曲任君選擇。近月更推出iPHONE APPS版，大家一同下載，在場館來個千人大合奏! 原創音樂，荒謬絕侖的樂器，加上瘋狂的舞步，肯定令全場HIGH翻天!

Maywa Denki insists that they are a company instead of an art group, developing their own characteristics in the field. Their live performances serve as a product demonstration for their ingenious music instruments, created entirely by the group themselves! Well known internationally, the group has toured sold out rock concerts and exhibitions around the world. Their unique style can be seen in the array of automated, electronic music devices produced over the last century.
Maywa Denki focuses their time and energy on the development and manufacturing of their products such as their recent new series, OTAMATONE, a musical instrument which looks like a large tadpole. Moving your fingers up and down to play music through the mouth of the instrument, this product can be downloaded as an iphone application. During their concert, for those who got this application can join in their iphone orchestra segment which includes a dance routine bringing the audience to a high! This is one show not to be missed!
