The FALL 2011 collection from SingleSecond had just dropped with their style of mash up on skate culture and popular culture icons. We talked to Derek to run us through his thoughts on the various designs for this new collection. Grab one for your mate at SingleSecond while you are at it.
Black Metal 2 (Beavis and Butthead) is a re-release from our Spring 2009 line. Basically we love Beavis and Butthead and when it came back on TV we knew we had to do the design again. Plus Stussy’s B&B collab wasn’t that good in my opinion.
Heathens is my brother and my first nickname as a duo. Our dad and uncles used to call us little heathens when we were kids. I’ve always been a fan of baseball team logos and the Angels is one of my favorites, so when the idea came up to flip the logo we knew it was the perfect word to convey exactly who we are.
There’s not much to say about the logo, it’s just a bold easily recognizable logo that represents both Single Second and Saskatoon Saskatchewan. The hoodies themselves are quite awesome. The best fit and quality you can get.
The last one is a collaboration with our local skate shop. Momentum was the first shop in our home city to show us real support so we wanted to work on something that would combined our two worlds. The photo was taken of a broken skateboard in front of their backlit shoe wall to contrast the modern clean lines of the shop with our often outspoken and sometimes angry brand.

於2011年的秋冬季裡，Puma主力於外套和鞋款上。既然出海活動當然不能沒有防水功能吧，而各種不同的外套上使用了多種優良透氣性、防水性的物料，Finisher 外套加入Gore-Tex功能物料令防水和透氣力大大增強；Defender羽絨外套使用 Primaloft 環保物料，保暖力絕對能與真正羽毛相比；值得一讚是多種外套均使用環保物料製成，既能變成高效能物料也能保護地球。當然在設計上，不論在顏色或是細節位也是適合日常生活時尚。
各種外套已擁有強大功能和時尚的外型，鞋款也不少得這兩重點，運用不同物料像真皮，密度高的尼龍料還有Gore-Tex物料等，基本的防水、透氣功能已齊備也極為耐用，而且鞋底加入不同技術的緩震系統，還有防滑功能，適合於各種環境下穿著。外觀上更加以改良，減省了笨重的外型，將鞋款變得更休閒。系列還有一個同樣擁有相當功能的背包，容量極大，全黑色外型，也是功能與時尚兼備。
雖然這系列是為了航海運動而設，但是從不同的產品當中能看出Puma設計團隊並不為此運動而設，不論在外型上變得時尚易配撘，其功能性也適合不同的運動使用，同時也認為Puma希望藉著此系列，把航海運動變得更普及，更多人能注意此運動。

NBA 終於解決勞工糾紛，即將於聖誕前正式開幕新一球季，Nike 也開始為多位球星新的專屬球鞋作出宣傳，其中之一就是Kevin Durant的 Zoom KD IV。這雙由Nike Basketball設計師 Leo Chang親自設計的新球鞋，運用眾多Nike最新的技術，將上代的球鞋重新改造，把性能提升，更附合擁有全能球風的Kevin。Hyperfuse將鞋重量變得輕盈、穩定、透氣性和耐用，也令腳跟靈活性增強，還有接近無縫的設計也令鞋身擁有現代感。而首次加入Adaptive Fit系統，鞋籠內與鞋上的撘帶能隨著腳掌形狀而改變，變得貼服後能令穩定性大大增加，更可與Hyperfuse功能互相對應，令各效能增強，在打球時抓地力更強，更得心應手的控制比賽。還有增加更多Zoom Air位置，將緩震力增至最強，像Kevin般在球賽上四處跑動和跳躍還有不停的得分，有效地保護腳掌不會容易疲勞，可以更安心贏得比賽。
在設計上，Kevin也與設計師Leo合作無間，鞋上在多處位置加入多個關於Kevin的故事，像鞋身有閃電代表著他的球隊、Big Chucky代表著小時候教導他的教練、心型和內裡WP字樣代表著Kevin的雙親、Barbara代表著他的祖母名字、句子Work Hard和Stay Focused代表著Kevin一直對自己的格言。
這雙最新的Nike Zoom KD IV已於各Nike Basketball，分銷店發售。
12月1日為世界愛滋病日，今年 Nike 一如以往，為此日製作出 (PRODUCT)RED™ 系列，將善款捐出以協助防止和對抗愛滋病等惡疾。產品包括 NSW Melton DESTROYER (PRODUCT)RED™，NSW Cheyenne Backpack (PRODUCT)RED™，Nike Zoom Meriwether (PRODUCT)RED™。

Numerous pedestrian crossings in Singapore have been covered with a sticker that admonishes “PRESS ONCE CAN ALREADY”, a Singlish phrase reminding people that repeated pushing of the button in the hope that the Green Man will come on faster is futile. Word has it that the sticker has been spotted all over the island with different texts, such as “PRESS TO STOP TIME” (pictured) as well as “NO NEED TO PRESS SO MANY TIMES”, according to comments. No word as yet as to who is responsible for this, only a mysterious logo comprising of two triangles and a circle above the text.

該系列的訓練服和休閒服也帶有CR的經典號碼7。其中一款T恤設計獨特，胸前由紅白藍三色條紋組成圖案“7”。材質選用有機棉。特殊的圖案和水洗處理，使V字領帶有一絲CR的獨特氣質。訓練上衣帶有醒目的“7”圖案，上衣和短褲都包含 Dri-FIT技術，專門為訓練設計，確保球員穿著舒適。再加上CR7比賽用球和護脛，該系列裝備就更加完善了，對這一色彩繽紛的主題做了一個很好的詮釋。

FLABSLAB is a new art and design collective based in Singapore with a focus on toys and pop art.
In November, FLABSLAB will be hosting internationally acclaimed graphic artist, Arkiv Vilmansa’s first ever exhibition in Singapore. Toy enthusiasts will recognise him from the iconic ‘Arkiv Instant’ vinyl toy figurine, his redesign of Mickey Mouse for Disney Asia, and his famous ‘SUMO’ toy. This will be Singapore’s first designer toy-inspired art exhibition and an opportunity to see the works of an artist who has amassed a cult following in the toy art scene.
Over the weekend, there will be two student dialogue sessions with Arkiv and live collaborations with top local artists, EeShaun and Wanton Doodle. It would be an interesting and intimate experience for audiences to see these talented artists at work.
Be at the opening reception on 10 Nov where there will be a worldwide release of ten limited edition bronze ‘SUMO head sculptures. Light refreshments and drinks will be served. The exhibition will be held at White Canvas Gallery, 78 Guan Chuan Street, Singapore 160078. Do check it out if you’re in the area!
